Did You Know 04:31
And you take advice they’ve given you And you live the way they told you to And you follow what the other does And you’re following him just because But did you know that you, that you That you run the way that the others do And you love this life they would put you through
And you bow your head where they tell you to While you bite the Hand that’s been feeding you Singing praises to an empty sky Paying homage to a broken lie But walking in their steps will keep you dry Feeling empty - do you wonder why Did you know that you, that you
2.
Fooled 02:23
have i been fooled by you
when your lips would feed me what i need yeah, i think you may have poisoned me
could i be moved by you
nudging me to jump out of this
tree yeah, a branch without it's leaves

i would dance on the answer
call in the streets i found power in a name
i would sing 'till i'm screaming
shout with the mountains all doing the same
you would fall from the power of His name

 a drop of subtlety
a hint of love and there i go to
bleed yeah, i follow like i'm on a lead
i think you smiled at me
your mask slips down and now i see your
scheme yeah, your teeth are brown and green

Judas 03:56
It didn’t have to be like this Two friends are pulled apart by just a single kiss It didn’t have to be this way Almost but not enough of the amazing grace It didn’t have to be like this Two hours ago we’re parting Now we’re cold and now we’re starving, yeah But I’d still take you It didn’t have to be so cold In spite of love and us a hand dipped in the bowl It didn’t have to come today I was thinking maybe there might be another way
4.
Blessed 04:59
Blessed are the hungry if they know You Fed beyond their longing if they know You For You are good, You're faithful Your hand is able to touch myself And I am saved, I'm free, I'm filled I can see So praise Him who takes my sin from me Praise Him who feeds my deepest need Praise God He made a friend if me Blessed are the sorrowed if they know You Comfort comes tomorrow if they know You
5.
Isaiah 26 03:04
you will keep in perfect peace him him who's mind is steadfast though the walls come crashing down on me, i will not fear you are right here i will be the one to trust in you trust in you you will hear my voice it's calling you calling you lord you will take him who has strength and bring him down to nothing my poor feet can walk with ease on him smoothly i stroll i will not fall
6.
It's For You 05:09
This is my body broken, take it, it’s for you I thought this way might show that I love you And when the nails came piercing down I’d take them for you A crown of thorns cuts through my brow I’d wear it for you This is my blood atoning, take it, it’s for you I thought this way might show that I love you And when the spear entered my side, I’d take it for you Upon the cross, arms outstretched wide, waiting for you This is my life I’m giving, take it, it’s for you That you might join the living, take it, it’s for you
7.
Your Spirit’s here, we see Your eyes Looking through our sin Around our fears, into our lives Your Word is here, we realize Piercing dark within Revealing Truth amidst the lies So let the people sing With arms stretched wide You can carry me in arms of love across the fire Let your people dance Let the captive cry Our King has come! Your heart is here, beating inside All who let your steer Give You the keys, and close their eyes Your grace is here, looking to find Who you can forgive Forget their sins, and save their lives Your power’s here, we feel it’s fire Lifting us to live Above the mud, out of the mire Your power’s here, we can’t deny Lifting us from sin Out of the grave into the sky
8.
Our God is amazing, Hallelujah Eternal, unchanging, Hallelujah His Kingdom lasts forever, Hallelujah So we sing together Hallelujah! Creator of all things, Hallelujah The mountains are shouting, Hallelujah The birds in the morning, Hallelujah Are singing of Your Glory Our King is victorious, Hallelujah Conquered death just for us, Hallelujah He washed away all our sin, Hallelujah So we could be with Him
9.
I love You With half of my heart and half of my soul I serve You With some of my strength and part of my all Where did it run The day I would say Here’s all of my mind Take all of my strength It’s my sacrifice Have all of myself For You and nobody else I see You Just as before, a Rock at the door I hear You You say it again, You’ll still be my friend What have I done I just want to say I feel You You walked in my skin, and tore down my heart Is this true You pulled out the sin that kept us apart Come, Jesus, come And have Your way
10.
shapes beneath my bed i'm a little scared you would be too if you were there if sheets up to my head can cover my fear maybe i'll bend and stay 'till it's clear shakes inside my soul i know they're there you know it too, you know He's here through sheets like they were holes i know i'm scared you would be too if you really cared if you really cared about anyone maybe you'd be saving me instead of feeding me reason and you tell me it's a lie you tell me i'm okay and maybe i'll return to reason when i wake flames inside my soul i know they're there and i know you too and it's cold and i'm bare and i'm scared you know i'm scared

He's Alive 02:52
Come and hear a story told Of a man who could walk on the water The wind and waves would all obey At the sound of His name they would bow and proclaim He’s alive! Heaven is open He’s alive! Strongholds are broken Christ the King of everything Sent to die, crucified even for me Tears of shame fell to His grave But we lifted our heads as we heard a voice say Come and hear a story told Of a man who could walk on the water And when the world says that He’s died We will lift up our hands and redeemed we will cry

about

The band's debut album (while they were still called "Nathan Peterson Band")

"Though formed in 1999, this is the debut album from this Illinois-based band. Nathan and co play melodic, ear-pleasing pop rock interlaced with a few slower ballads. The band gel together well, influenced as they are by the likes of U2 and Coldplay. Peterson has a strong, pleasant voice, leading on all tracks, each of which he authored. Lyrics are thoughtful, non-clichéd and overtly spiritual. You could easily form the impression that they're too negative - one song is titled "Judas", another (the powerful title track) relates a conversation with the Devil and yet another a convo with the flesh. But this is simply a reflection of NPB's openness; their desire to tackle real-life issues. Thus, track nine opens; "I love you with half of my heart, with half of my soul/I serve you with some of my strength, and part of my all". How many of us, in all honesty, can relate to that! A couple of tracks, namely "Our King Has Come" and more especially "Our God Is Amazing", are pure worship - and how. Another track is a reflection on the sacrifice of Christ, spoken in the first person singular - "It's For You"."
